Bathroom Tiling in Glasgow

Large-format porcelain, marble-effect, terrazzo and herringbone, set flat and detailed for wet areas.

Overview

Tiles carry most of the look of a luxury bathroom and most of the risk. AdiDeccor tiles bathrooms across Glasgow and nearby towns, West Lothian — including Bathgate and Livingston — and Edinburgh, from large-format porcelain and marble-effect walls to terrazzo, herringbone and mosaic floors. The work is set out and prepared so the finished surface is flat, the lines are true and the wet areas are protected behind it.

Tile types we fit

  • 01Large-format porcelain walls and floors — fewer grout lines, a calmer finish
  • 02Marble-effect and stone-look tile
  • 03Terrazzo and feature walls
  • 04Herringbone and metro tile in showers and niches
  • 05Hexagon and patterned floor tiles
  • 06Fluted and mosaic tile for splashbacks and accents

  1. STEP 01

    Survey & layout

Wall and floor flatness checked, tile direction and cuts planned so niches, trims and edges land where they should.

  2. STEP 02

    Substrate preparation

Surfaces made sound and level before anything is stuck down — large-format tile shows every undulation.

  3. STEP 03

    Waterproofing first

Shower and wet zones are tanked before tile goes on, not after.

  4. STEP 04

    Setting & levelling

Full-bed adhesive, levelling clips and checked lines on every course.

  5. STEP 05

    Grout, seal & finish

Grout suited to the tile, silicone at every change of plane, and a clean handover.

Wet-area detailing

Good tiling is mostly preparation. We check substrates, use adhesive and grout suited to the product, tile into niches and around valves with care, and finish junctions with the right sealant rather than relying on silicone to hide movement. Large-format walls look striking but need flat substrates — we will be honest if a wall needs more preparation first. Bring your tile choices or showroom favourites and we will confirm they suit the room.

Tiling is usually the longest visible stage of a bathroom job. Your timeline is confirmed at consultation once the tile, layout and any preparation work are agreed.

Cost

What affects the cost of bathroom tiling?

Tiling is priced on area and on how much preparation and cutting the design needs. The main factors are:

  • 01Wall and floor area, and the tile format
  • 02The condition of the walls and floors before tiling
  • 03Pattern — herringbone, mosaic and feature layouts take more cutting
  • 04Trims, niches, and waterproofing in the wet zones

We explain each of these at consultation so the quote reflects the bathroom you actually want. Request a quote.

FAQs

Bathroom tiling answered.

Do you tile with large-format tiles?

+

Yes. Large-format porcelain is a core part of our work and needs flat, well-prepared substrates, which we plan for.

Do you waterproof before tiling?

+

Yes — shower and wet zones are tanked before tile goes on.

Can you tile over my existing tiles?

+

It depends on their condition and the room. We assess on site and recommend removal where it gives a better, longer-lasting result.

Can I supply my own tiles?

+

Yes. We will confirm suitability and quantities at consultation.

Do you tile in Edinburgh?

+

Yes — Glasgow is our main area, and West Lothian and Edinburgh are regularly covered.
